The session takes place 31 July @ 3.30pm - 5pm AEST.
Learning walks can play an important role in helping to advance teaching and learning across your entire school.
That’s because they can provide teachers and school leaders with the opportunity to:
- observe teaching and learning practices in classrooms across the school,
- reflect on their own practices
- help individual teachers, leaders and teams help make learning stick for everyone.
The tricky part with learning walks is ensuring:
- everyone is on the same page regarding what to look for during classroom observations
- there’s a common language for observation, reflection, celebration and actions for continuous improvement.
The Learning Walk Guide webinar will help school leaders like you align using three key questions for effective school-wide learning walks.
School leaders (that’s you!) will learn:
- what science says makes learning stick for everyone
- the system that turns the science into action
- the exact engagement that makes learning sticky
- the 3 questions to ask during every learning walk
- strategies all leaders and teaching teams can use to boost student engagement prior to learning walk observations.
Who should attend?
- Your school’s leadership team
- Lead teachers and mentors of new teachers
- Your school’s teaching and learning champions
- Anyone across your school working to advance teaching and learning?
Please bring paper and pen to the session and ensure each member of your team is on their own computer in a quiet location.
Want to lead learning walks that elevate teaching, not just observe it?
This session is for you and your entire leadership team.
